- I have had a love of bicycling for as long as I can remember. I was an avid cyclist from the age of 9 until I was in my mid 20's. Work and other interests pushed cycling aside for a time. In 1998 my daughter asked for a road bike and I bought one as well. Since then I have once again fallen in love with the sport. Although I tried racing in high school it was not for me. Long rides alone through the rolling hills of Connecticut were what I enjoyed most. At the age of 48 I discovered a small part of the cycling world called Randonneuring which I have devoted myself to for the past two years.
